Joel Scharlat

Joel Scharlat is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, former helicopter pilot, and executive leader with over 20 years of experience in management and defense innovation. He currently serves as the President and a member of the Board of Directors for Elysium Innovations Group, where he guides the strategic direction of the non-profit organization and its rapid-acquisition ecosystems.
Additionally, Joel has been engaged in the Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed Reality (AR/VR/MR) technology space since 2009, particularly with how it intersects with cybersecurity. Joel was the Principle Investigator on a NIST grant researching how to use natural authentication methods for AR devices, leading to a novel AI-based authentication system.
He is the CEO of STEAMBridge, a STEM Education and Workforce development company using emerging technologies such as AI, drones, 3D-Printing, and more to introduce a new generation to problem solving.
Jeff Rose

Jeff Rose is a 28-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran and an executive leader with extensive experience in defense acquisitions, information technology, workforce training, and operational strategy. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Elysium Innovations Group (EIG), where he helps guide the organization's non-profit mission.
During his military career, Jeff managed multi-million-dollar modernization programs and led enterprise training initiatives worldwide, including oversight of the aviation IT schoolhouse and transition training for the Joint Strike Fighter (F-35) platform.
In addition to his board leadership at EIG, Jeff serves as the Chief Revenue Officer of Ratio Exchange, providing the digital ecosystem expertise needed to help organizations navigate complex federal environments, accelerate technology adoption, and build collaborative innovation networks.
John Grant

John Grant is a 20-year U.S. Army veteran and technology executive with over 37 years of leadership experience across the DoD, Intelligence Community, and academia. Serving on the Elysium Innovations Group (EIG) Board of Directors, he provides strategic guidance to advance the non-profit's mission. John specializes in building public-private innovation ecosystems, highlighted by his tenure at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), where he established "The SHOP"—a 2,000-square-foot cross-agency rapid prototyping facility—and founded the Virtual Worlds Forum to accelerate immersive technology adoption across federal agencies.
As a published author and the Founder and CEO of Innov8XR, John is a recognized thought leader dedicated to delivering XR, AI, and spatial computing strategies that translate emerging technologies into tangible mission and market impact.
Marty Moore

Sergeant Major Martin "Marty" Moore, U.S. Army Special Forces (Ret.), serves on the Executive Advisory Board for Elysium Innovations Group. He is a strategic consultant with over 25 years of Special Forces tactical edge experience.
Currently the owner of ZeroOneAngus, LLC, Marty serves in multiple strategic advisory roles focused on the intersection of Big Data, Cyber Security, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence for the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of State, academia, and International Special Operations Forces.

Callye Keen brings decades of expertise in defense manufacturing, product strategy, and supply chain management to the EIG Executive Advisory Board. As CEO of K-Form, Inc., he transformed the company into a leading defense hardware innovator, developing hundreds of products and guiding numerous clients from concept to acquisition by defense primes. An established entrepreneurial leader and former President of Red Blue Collective, Callye leverages his extensive B2B and B2G experience to ensure emerging technologies remain commercially viable, transition-ready, and scalable.
Mike Komorous

Michael Komorous is the Founder and CEO of Alpha Zulu Solutions, Inc., a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business specializing in federal contracting and on-prem AI services for the defense community. A retired U.S. Air Force officer and combat-rated Command Pilot with over 24 years of service, Michael brings deep expertise in legislative affairs, defense acquisitions, and geopolitical strategy from his leadership assignments at the Pentagon and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Michael continues to foster defense and industry partnerships in his supplemental role as a research professor at George Mason University's Innovation Lab.
